Resumo: This paper presents a mutation-driven evolutionary algorithm applied to passive filter synthesis. In this approach the topologies of the circuits are completely defined during the evolution process, without any knowledge of the traditional design strategies. The process uses models (building blocks) and insertions rules to place moderate constraints that avoid anomalous circuits and reduce the size of the search space. The results show that the method is capable to generate circuits that meet the specifications. The synthesis capabilities are presented using passive filters.
