Título: FINGERPRINT MATCHING WITH A NEURAL NETWORK

Resumo: This paper presents a novel method for fingerprint matching based on minutiae extraction that uses an artificial neural network as matching algorithm. The proposed method was implemented by software and its performance was evaluated and compared with another method, which is based on the spacial distance between the minutiae. The proposed method presented a good performance for the data set used in this work which is composed by selected images from the FVC2000 database.
