Resumo: Generalized predictive controllers (GPCs) have been successfully applied in complex processes control during the last decade. This paper presents the design of an adaptive GPC using any new approaches of particle swarm optimization algorithm based on Gaussian and Cauchy distributions. Steps of the optimization procedure, control law implementation and adaptive procedure are discussed. Simulation results for the control of a nonlinear process of Hammerstein type shown the efficiency of proposed optimization methodology.
