Resumo: This work reports the use of Neural Networks for classification of healthy and cancerous patients (head and neck cancer), based on anthropometrical and bioimpedance data. Using the proposed system, an accuracy rate of 85% was achieved, demonstrating the viability of this method. This result encourages the utilization of Neural Networks as classifiers using patient’s bioimpedance data as input. This technique allows early diagnose of cancer, when the prognosis can be better, therefore changing the cource of disease or suggesting a better treatment option.
